Sessions in Chat

Find, pin, archive, freeze, and export sessions in Chat, and see who can read them.

A session is one conversation with an agent. Chat lists the sessions you own in the workspace, from every project. To browse other people’s sessions, go to Agents › Sessions.

Search the session list by title, filter it to one or more projects, or switch to archived sessions. Filters are saved in the URL, so you can bookmark or share a filtered view.

Open the ⋮ menu on a session to:

  • Rename it.
  • Pin it to keep it at the top of the list, under Pinned. Pins are yours alone and also apply on Agents › Sessions.
  • Archive it to hide it from the list. You can unarchive it later.
  • Freeze it to lock it permanently. A frozen session can’t take new messages.
  • Delete it.
  • Share it, so it appears in other workspace members’ session lists. See Who can read a session.
  • Copy the link or ID, or copy or download the transcript.

You can’t continue a session that’s archived, frozen, owned by someone else, or created by an evaluation or background worker.

Anyone with read access to the workspace can open your session by its link and read the transcript. They can’t send messages to it or use your sandbox.

New sessions don’t appear in other people’s lists until you select Share session from the session menu. That only affects whether they’re listed; anyone with the link can still read the session. For confidential work, use a workspace that only the right people can access.
